An excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join an established Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Lubbock, Texas. This position offers a flexible schedule, a manageable 1:5 call rotation, and the opportunity to focus exclusively on inpatient neonatal care without outpatient clinic responsibilities.

Position Highlights

• Call Schedule: 1:5 rotation with 24-hour in-house call
• Clinical Setting: Level IV NICU
• NICU Capacity: 43-bed NICU plus 9 additional small beds
• Coverage Model: One Neonatologist and one Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on call
• Clinic Responsibilities: None – exclusively inpatient care
• Schedule: Flexible scheduling with an emphasis on work-life balance
• Location: Lubbock, Texas
• Residency Requirement: Physicians are not required to reside in Lubbock.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level IV NICU, working alongside an experienced neonatal team in a collaborative clinical environment.

This opportunity offers the ability to concentrate on high-acuity neonatal medicine while enjoying a predictable call rotation and scheduling flexibility. Physicians have the added benefit of living outside the Lubbock area while participating in the established call coverage model.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
