MEET MILITARY VETERAN, TRACY CLARK
Tell us about the career journey that brought you to Elite365.
I was a United States Marine Corps Reconnaissance Officer, where I held the rank of captain. After my time with the USMC, due to the RIF in late 90s, I needed a job. I would do a 2-mile ocean swim on the weekends and met a Physical Therapist who worked for a company needing a sales and marketing rep. I said “I can do that!” That started my career in Orthopedics and I worked for several companies until, after a sale, the owner asked me to start up a home health company with him as an equity backer. That allowed me to further my career as a Chief Operating Officer and eventually as a Chief Executive Officer in healthcare services. Through those relationships, it gave me the opportunity to startup Elite365, and I am loving it. What I enjoy about my job now is seeing my people build successful careers!
How many years have you been in healthcare staffing?
I’ve been working in the healthcare staffing for more than 25 years.
What was your first job?
I grew up in rural South Carolina. My first job was when I was nine years old as my MaMaw’s (grandmother’s) farm assistant. I tilled her vegetable garden and then helped stack tobacco in the barn during the summer when it was cropped. What I learned was simple:
- Get up early and work hard.
- “Being broke doesn’t mean being poor,” as MaMaw would say.
- Attitude dictates your future.
- Listen carefully and strive to “get it right.”
- There is no complaint department.

South Carolina
What is your favorite activity outside of work?
I love working out, playing golf and being PaPaw to my grandkids!

I have two daughters: Morgan, who is a real estate agent, and Shannon, who is a speech therapist.

What would you like to say about your experience working at Elite365?
I obsess over my customers and my employees. My view is that my team members are my primary customer, and early in my career, I learned that ‘leaders eat last’. I focus on them, and challenge, encourage, and coach them, they take care of the rest! My overall motto is work hard, have fun, and laugh some!
