Elite365’s Contribution Makes a Young Girl’s Wish Come True
Elite365 Healthcare Workforce Solutions was honored to sponsor a table at this year’s Make-A-Wish® San Diego Wine & Wishes Gala, the chapter’s largest annual fundraising event. This incredible evening brought together generous supporters from across the community and raised over $1.4 million – enough to grant more than 140 wishes for local children battling critical illnesses.
At an average cost of $10,000 per wish, these funds will help bring joy, strength, and hope to deserving children and their families. Our very own Chief Operating Officer, Carolina Araya, proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, where she plays an active role in fundraising and supporting life-changing experiences for children facing critical illnesses.
“Supporting the Make-A-Wish mission is deeply meaningful to me both personally and professionally,” Carolina said. “At Elite365, we believe in the power of hope and the importance of strengthening the communities we serve. Sponsoring this gala is not only an opportunity to give back, but a commitment to helping create life-changing moments for children and families who need it most.”
Several executive team members joined Carolina at the gala including Chief Executive Officer Tracy Clark, Chief Financial Officer Marsha Abeln, and Vice President of International Nursing, Laura Tuttle.
The evening featured a truly magical moment as Kelyn – the young girl whose wish was made possible by Elite365’s contribution – had her wish granted live on stage. Kelyn dreamed of becoming a princess and she did just that. She wore a beautiful dress she designed by herself and was crowned by two Disney princesses in a heartwarming celebration. Guests were also treated to a moving performance from wish kiddo Avila, a courageous young woman now in remission, whose story inspired everyone in attendance.
Since 1983, Make-A-Wish San Diego has granted life-changing wishes to thousands of children across San Diego County and Imperial County. Each wish represents a powerful reminder that hope and joy can be just as important to healing as medicine itself.
When businesses and nonprofits unite, communities thrive. Elite365 is proud to support a mission like Make-A-Wish San Diego’s and stand alongside leaders dedicated to improving lives in the community.
